Another great way to prevent acne is by keeping the body cleansed from the inside out. For this, it is important to drink a minimum of eight glasses of water a day. This purifies the body by flushing out harmful toxins. Remember, acne does not start on the surface of the skin but on the inside of the body so cleansing or detoxifying it is an excellent means of prevention.
Science also shows us that reducing stress from the body through exercise is great for acne. Sweat also works to purify the pores of the body while increasing circulation of blood and oxygen to the skin. Now, if you do exercise, keep in mind that you always want to take a shower afterwards so the pores do not become clogged with dirt, thus leading to bacteria and infection.
Even sleeping on clean linens has been shown to help with acne so the skin is not being irritated. Of course, women should always remove makeup, followed by a good toner and cleaner, and the moisturizer low in oil. If you like, you can visit your local drug or grocery store to purchase cleansing pads. These pads are inexpensive and designed to exfoliate the skin. Again, these are external cleansers but they do help with some prevention of acne.
The key to keeping acne out of your life is by good health and skin care. By taking better care of your body on the inside, the outside will also be healthier. Of course, if you suffer from a serious outbreak, you should talk to your doctor about options for treatment. Then once the breakout is under control, go back to a good maintenance plan.
